Technology Research Institute, as the core research entity of QAX Group, is committed to advancing fundamental and frontier technologies in the field of cybersecurity. The institute has gathered a team of distinguished researchers from renowned academic institutions, such as Tsinghua University, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fudan University, and Shandong University, etc. Through extensive collaborations with universities both domestically and internationally, the institute has achieved significant breakthroughs in areas such as critical infrastructure security, network security, software security, IoT security, and vulnerability discovery. The institute has published more than 30 papers in top-tier international conferences such as USENIX Security, CCS, NDSS and IEEE S&P, and has presented its findings at leading industry forums including DefCon, Blackhat and HITB. Moreover, the institute has collaborated with global technology leaders such as Google, Amazon, Cloudflare to identify and fix critical vulnerabilities.

The RedDrip Advanced Threat Analysis Team (@RedDrip7) of QAX Threat Intelligence Center conducts daily assessments on tens of thousands of highly suspected malicious objects and events. They are involved in the on-site analysis, forensics, and disposal of more than a hundred significant targeted attack incidents each year. In addition, they continuously develop various advanced threat analysis engines and tools. Up to now, they have been continuously monitoring 51 APT groups with attack activities both domestically and abroad, have named 18 APT groups for the first time, and have released more than 500 APT organisation tracking reports.

XLab was founded within QAX which is one of the largest cybersecurity company in China. Dedicated to cyber security research, threat analysis and building large-scale multidimensional security data platforms. In the areas of cyber security research and threat analysis, we built industry-leading large-scale multidimensional network data correlation analysis systems, botnet tracking systems, global network advanced honeypot systems and knowledge graph systems. We are especially renowned for our work in monitoring massive botnets and have exposed over 30 globally impactful botnets, such as Mirai and Bigpanzi. We have discovered almost every major botnet in recent years.
